The County is fabulous in summer but you can make your get away to a County adventure all year round!
Spring, fall and winter seasons in the County offer many opportunities to explore and enjoy sights, festivals and events away from the busy summer crowds.
Outdoor enthusiasts can cycle the bike routes, go golfing, explore quiet beaches and conservation areas or watch for the many species of birds that migrate through. A cold and snowy winter means you can bring your gear to ice-fish, skate on East Lake, ski the x-country trails at Sandbanks, or tour the OFSC snowmobile trails.
Quieter pursuits might include antique hunting, visiting museums, taking a cooking class, dining at the wonderful restaurants, touring a winery, honing your watercolour painting or printmaking skills, taking in some live theatre or enjoying live music at a local pub.
And there is no shortage of festivals and events both large and small - Maple in the County, Pumpkinfest, County-licious, Taste!, Studio Tour, Walleye World fishing derby, Birding festival, County Marathon, antique and craft shows, Festival of Trees, and many more.
There are just too many ideas to list here. See the "What to See and Do" and "Events and Entertainment" sections of www.prince-edward-county.com for lots of information and suggestions.
All our cottages and campsites are available from May 1 until Thanksgiving and our Green Cottage is open and cozy warm right through the winter.
